Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Clear stuck patterns that trigger Trauma Responses 

EMDR is a researched based approach to healing stuck patterns that produce trauma responses.  Most people are aware of traditional "traumatic" events such as violence, accidents, and sexual trauma, to name a few; however, any event that gets wired into one's brain with a fight/flight/freeze/play dead response can continue to retrigger a person into this response pattern long after the initial event has passed.  Often when a difficult event occurs in one's life, we add in a negative belief about the world or ourselves (ex: Maybe the people are unsafe, I can't trust myself; I am not enough).  When the trauma is not fully processed, these beliefs stick with us; and when various life events trigger this thought pattern, a trauma response occurs in the individual.  EMDR is an amazing tool to help clear these stuck thought patterns, as well as any traumatic memories. 

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Our inner parts contain valuable qualities and our core Self knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole.  

IFS is a transformative therapy that can get to know all your parts (anxious parts, critical parts, body guards, etc); find the good each part is trying to do for you; find inner conflicts between parts; release parts from jobs they took on in your early years that are no longer serving you; and releasing all your parts to do the jobs they were meant for.  

Heart Centered Hypnotherapy

Access your subconscious mind for deep emotional healing

Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to access the source of distress that is currently manifesting in your life through addictions, depression, anxiety, broken relationships, etc. Heart Centered Hypnotherapy leads you into a light to medium state of relaxation where the subconscious mind is accessed easily. Earlier life experiences that are linked to current struggles emerge, emotional release occurs naturally, and new thoughts and affirmations are developed to replace old negative conclusions.

How do you develop Empathy and Listening Skills?

We are more likely to jump in, give our thoughts and opinions in conversation with others; then to slow down, take the time to truly hear with understanding, especially when the other person has viewpoints/lifestyles different than ours.  So, how do we change this pattern?  We need to learn steps of: slowing down, going inward, and grounding; giving ourselves empathy and healing; transforming our judgments of self and other; and giving empathy to others.  

Intuitive Guidance

Why is it so hard to gain clarity on small and large decisions in our lives?

Each of us can receive answers to important questions in our lives through symbolic images and intuitive perceptions, but it takes practice to learn the unique ways these answers come to you. Mindfulness and Meditation are great tools to help you increase your awareness of these quieter messages that come into your life. In the process of increasing your ability to access answers for your own life, I work with you in session through modelling and practice. You will gain new tools that will lead you to greater clarity and empowerment in your life.
