Service Description

"If you want to train your mind to find peace, calm, and purpose; {then} monks are the experts" to learn from. (Think Like a Monk, Jay Shetty) Have you wondered how to find greater peace and purpose in your life? If so, come study and reflect with this group! We will meet once/month Feb-Dec 2026. There are 11 core principals Jay Shetty covers in his book: Think Like a Monk: Train your Mind for Peace and Purpose Every Day. We will spend a month on each principal so that you will have time to read, reflect, practice, and apply the concepts throughout the year. The 11 concepts are: Identity, Negativity, Fear, Intention, Purpose, Routine, Mind, Ego, Gratitude, Relationships, and Service. You are welcome to sign up for only the sessions you can attend or purchase the entire series at a discounted rate. Group Structure: In each group, I ask you to come prepared having read the current month's chapter. We will begin each group with a centering meditation, review agreements for emotional safety for group members, discuss the current chapter's main points, have large or small group reflection exercises to practice/explore the concepts, time for group sharing, and close with silent reflection and intention setting. ACCESSIBILITY: -This event is held on the second floor, so there is a full flight of stairs to arrive at the event. -If you have any special accommodations that you need, please reach out and I will be happy to help facilitate these if possible. -Parking - There is plenty of free street parking in the vicinity, as well as a free parking lot behind the building (enter through driveway or off Zumstein)
